Listening to the Spirit
Don’s message this Sunday was a powerful reminder that the most important thing we can do as followers of Jesus is simply to abide in Him. He shared the teaching of Jesus about the Holy Spirit who is with all believers. The "Spirit-to-spirit" connection we have with the Holy Spirit allows us to hear the Shepherd’s voice. After sharing the story of how he heard God speaking to him, Don challenged us to start practicing the discipline of listening through biblical meditation. This conversational relationship isn't just for the "spiritually elite"—it’s for every one of us who is willing to seek Him with a whole heart. Don's closing charge is to believe God wants to speak to us, ask Him in faith, and then take the time to listen.
